Last weekend we enjoyed a quick trip to the creek and puppy surprised us with all her voluntary swimming and Mother Nature smiled on us with her sunshine. Opening night at @writandvision of the “Be Like

Opening night at @writandvision of the “Be Like Them” art show was an absolute joy! I was thrilled to see so many friends and meet so many new friends. Let me give you some highlights:
- I am so impressed by the staff at Writ and Vision. They put a ton of art into a small space which takes some creativity and lots of time.
- I felt so loved! My parents came in town and my siblings, nieces and nephews were there. And of course, Chris, was my travel buddy and is my loyal support every single day. Aunts, Uncles, friends, friends and more friends came! Loved seeing everyone one of you!
- We were all excited when my paintings (along with a few others) were used in the Salt Lake Tribune article to advertise the art show.
- The line was so long to get in the gallery!
- I loved meeting @mcarthurkrishna_creates that night. She is as kind and genuine as she presents herself online. Grateful to her for putting this show together.

This is the only capture I have of this painting in progress. It came so quickly and smoothly which is not how the painting process typically goes for me. Usually I take lots of breaks over many days/weeks/months/years and taking photos of the process is so helpful. I am happy I have this one photo and can’t wait to show you the finished painting.

This little makeshift desk has been a holy place for me the last few months as I’ve worked on a set of paintings honoring Heavenly Mother and Heavenly Father. I’m grateful for what I’ve learned and how it has changed me. It doesn’t feel like the kind of thing I want to write about here but I hope I get to share with some of you in real life sometime. But know this: each of us belong to loving Heavenly Parents! We are each so loved!

Feeling deeply grateful for my friends and collect

Feeling deeply grateful for my friends and collectors this past week and over the years. Fresh out of college I was making handmade books. I’ve done lots of custom work. Countless landscape paintings. Taught so many classes to kids and adults. Been a vendor at small shows and big shows. Collected lots of “no”s from juried shows. Happy with the “yes”s that have also come. I’m learning loads along the way and I’m so grateful for this journey. Love you all!

What a ride today has been! Thank you to all my collectors—repeat and new! There are lots of things to love about being an artist but at the top of my list is “the hand off” where an artwork goes home with a new collector. It’s so satisfying to be part of that. There are still some items left in my shop if you are in the market.
